Re.rockspace.local not working – In most cases, users facing the login issue in the Rockspace range extender don’t know the steps to resolve it. Without accessing the re.rockspace.local interface a user has no longer control over the functioning and performance of the range extender. You must understand the situation of the login issue and the troubleshooting steps that may resolve the issue.
Follow the below steps to troubleshoot the re.rockspace.local not working issue
- A user has to make sure that he is only connected to the Rockspace range extender, not any other device. The login issue may occur if a user has been connected to another range extender.
- Make sure that the domain name that you typed in the address bar of the browser is correct. By entering re.rockspace.local or 192.168.0.254 as the URL of the browser, you can access the web interface of the Rockspace range extender.
- If you are using an IP address of the device to enter into the web management window, make sure it is correct. The default IP address of the Rockspace range extender is 192.168.0.254.
- A user has to be careful while typing the words and numbers, the spelling must be correct and the arrangement of numbers must be correct.
- Close the current browser you are using and launch it again.
- You can clear the history and cache of the browser you are using through the settings tab to clear the log in issue.
- Make sure you are using only the approved browser such as Google Chrome, Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.
- Ensure that you are typing the correct login credentials in their respective fields. The default username and password is “admin”.
- You have to ensure that the router connected to the range extender is having an active Internet connection. The re.rockspace.local issue may also be encountered because of the absence of Wi-fi connectivity.
- If your computer is connected to other wireless networks, wired connections, and VPN connections that could be a reason for the re.rockspace.local issue. Disconnect it from other networks and then try to access the re.rockspace.local interface of the range extender.
- The active firewall and antivirus software on your computer may also be the reason that you are denied from the re.rockspace.local interface. You need to disable them using the Control Panel of your windows.
- If all the above steps fail to resolve the issue, restore the factory default settings into the Rockspace range extender. Press the reset button behind the device and hold it until the Power LED comes back in a stable state.
Note: The reset process will revert back all the default settings into the range extender. All configurations are made during the setup process or after it sets back to default. You need to reconfigure your device using the re.rockspace.local interface. To save yourself from reconfiguring the device, you can create a backup of the current configuration settings and can restore it later.
